GMC Yukon goes Graphite

Buick and GMC are, of course, close to our hearts here at McLarty Daniel Buick GMC, and it looks like both of our favorite brands are gearing up for a great new model year with the introduction of appearance and performance packages that are guaranteed to excite. Buick just announced the addition of a “Sport Touring” appearance and performance package on the 2019 LaCrosse, while GMC announced they’re fielding the premium, high performance 2019 Yukon Graphite edition. Both are expected to be on the lot by late summer.

A press release from Buick recently outlined the new Sport Touring (ST) model of the LaCrosse. From a design standpoint, the 2019 LaCrosse ST gets a slick, monochrome paint scheme, with a body-color grille surround and side vents, a rear spoiler, special ST badging on the trunk lid, a black mesh grille and 19-inch wheels in a dark chrome finish Buick is calling “Midnight Silver.” Backing up those good looks will be a 3.6-liter V6 packing a stout 310 horsepower, and backed by a 9-speed automatic. Available colors on the LaCrosse ST will be Satin Steel Metallic, White Frost Tricoat, Red Quartz Tintcoat, Quicksilver Metallic, and Ebony Twilight Metallic. Pricing starts at $40,295.

If a luxurious SUV is more your thing, GMC recently announced that this summer will also bring the new 2019 Yukon Graphite edition to McLarty Daniel Buick GMC. In fact, it’s really TWO new Yukons: the 2019 Yukon Graphite and Yukon Graphite Performance Edition. Darkness is the overall theme for the new Yukon Graphite, which is available in either Yukon or Yukon XL, and two- and four-wheel drive models. Design features include 22-inch alloy wheels with Carbon Flash metallic painted pockets, black assist steps, dark chrome mesh grille insert and fog lamp bezels, a body-color grille surround, black rails up top and black side moldings. The Yukon Graphite Edition is available in three colors: Onyx Black, White Frost Tricoat and Dark Sky Metallic.Things really get fun when you step up to the 2019 Yukon Graphite Performance Edition, packing a 420 horsepower 6.2-liter V8 with 460 lb.-ft. of torque and backed by a ten speed automatic, with space-age magnetic ride control that reads the road and instantly adjusts suspension stiffness to help keep you from swapping ends when blasting through the curves. The Graphite Performance Edition also gets 22-inch six spoke alloy wheels painted gloss black, an available active all-wheel drive transfer case, a high-capacity air cleaner, a standard trailer brake controller, Bose active noise cancellation, and interior tech like an 8-inch touch screen in the center dash, with GMC Infotainment System. Prices for the Yukon Graphite Edition haven’t been announced yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
