Adventure ready

The AT4 GMC vehicles are so cool because they are built for adventure right out of the gate. For protection, they have skid plates that run across the undercarriage shielding important components. When off-roading, there are a lot of obstacles…

that could do damage, which could leave you stranded. With skid plates, your gas tank, transfer box and other vital components are protected. Skid plates are not available for the Terrain AT4 and Acadia AT4 but they are available for the Sierras, Yukon and Canyon.

As far as clearance, the Sierra AT4 has a two-inch factory-installed lift. This puts its max ground clearance at more than 10 inches with a max front-approach angle of close to 27 degrees. These features are cool because they also protect the undercarriage of the vehicle, giving you more backwood access and the confidence to get there.

AT4 GMCs are also cool because they come with red recovery hooks, giving the ability to tow your non-AT4 friends out of sticky situations. With the recovery hooks, you can tow without damaging your GMC. When putting your vehicle under high pressure, from pulling another vehicle, for instance, it is possible to do damage to the frame or other parts of the GMC. These hooks can handle high levels of stress and eliminate the stress of being stranded. These red recovery hooks are not available on the Acadia AT4 or the Terrain AT4.

Exclusive for the Acadia AT4 is the Active Torque Control AWD System. The Acadia receives all the power from the vehicle to the front wheels. When the front wheels begin to slip, the system automatically shifts to its all-wheel-drive (AWD) mode which sends the additional torque to the rear wheels.

For controlled and smooth declines, GMC added Hill Descent Control, making the AT4 GMCs even cooler. This system uses antilock braking and traction control to minimize slipping and sliding when going down a hill. The GMC also stays in lower gears giving the driver more control of the vehicle.

The AT4 GMCs, excluding the Canyon AT4, also have off-road traction control. This preset driving mode is tailored to handle different driving situations where terrain or weather may be a factor. By selecting off-road mode, the GMC AT4’s transmission system optimizes the performance of the vehicle allowing more control and ability.

The AT4 GMC models are so cool. They give total control and confidence to the adventure-seeking driver.
