The Future of Luxury: Buick's Avenir Models

You might have seen this name on the highway or at a stoplight — but what does Avenir mean? Avenir is a French word meaning “future,” and that’s exactly what Buick hopes you see in every line, panel, curve, and stitch of their exclusive Avenir-level vehicles. Currently available on all four Buick SUVs, the Avenir badge signifies absolute comfort, technology and refinement. This trim level offers top-tier luxury, but is also surprisingly affordable when compared to other high-end vehicles.

Based on the sleek Buick Avenir concept car that debuted at the 2015 North American Auto Show, the Avenir line retains the beautiful looks and careful design choices of that concept car. The result is Buick’s signature expression of the automaker’s art, packed with options that make the Avenir models more connected, more refined and more comfortable than any Buick before.

If you’d like to see what the Avenir design aesthetic is really about, come in for a test drive today at McLarty Daniel Buick GMC in BENTONVILLE, AR! The attention to detail extends to driver comfort, as well. The front seats and flat-bottom steering wheel are heated for those chilly winter mornings. Technological innovation meets convenience with an ultrawide 11-inch infotainment screen, and the standard advanced Watts Link rear suspension guarantees a tranquil ride.

Enclave Avenir

The Enclave Avenir exudes elegance with sleek LED headlamps and stylish 20-inch aluminum wheels. The interior is bursting with luxurious amenities, from the power-sliding panoramic moonroof to the massaging, ventilated front seats. Meanwhile, the Smart Slide second-row seating enhances practicality and accessibility.

Advanced features like the head-up display, wireless smartphone charging, and seamless integration of Apple CarPlay make navigation and connectivity a breeze. The Enclave Avenir doesn’t disappoint when it comes to performance either, thanks to its innovative five-link rear suspension system and impressive 5,000-pound towing capacity.

These vehicles represent the pinnacle of luxury and performance of the Buick Avenir nameplate. However, they are just a glimpse of what Buick has to offer, with additional models like the Encore GX Avenir and the Envision Avenir rounding out the lineup. New GMC SUV equipped with Intellibeam headlights

WHAT ARE INTELLIBEAM HEADLIGHTS?

“Blinding Lights” might be a bop when it comes on the radio, but blinding lights are not fun when they come through your windshield! Every driver has experienced the pain of LED high beams wrecking their retinas or the guilt of unintentionally blinding another driver. At McLarty Daniel Buick GMC in Bentonville, Arkansas, we’re all too familiar with this common driving dilemma. That’s exactly why we are so proud of Intellibeam Automatic Headlamp Control, one of the newest safety features found in select GMC and Buick vehicles. This cutting-edge technology is designed to improve safety for both drivers and surrounding traffic by optimizing the use of your high beams. Find a New Vehicle Equipped with Intellibeam How It Works Automatic headlamp control, as the name suggests, means that the high beams... more of your vehicle can turn on and off automatically. Unlike traditional high beams, which must be manually switched on, automatic high beams are the default setting. Intellibeam utilizes a sophisticated sensor that continually scans the surrounding environment for lights from nearby vehicles. This sensor can detect various sources of light, including the taillights of vehicles moving in the same direction and the headlights of vehicles in oncoming lanes. When the sensor detects other vehicles in proximity, it immediately turns off the high beams. In the absence of other vehicles nearby, Intellibeam will automatically switch the high beams back on to enhance visibility for the driver. This means you can enjoy the benefits of high beams without the hassle of constantly toggling them on and off. GM Super Cruise: Revolutionary Driver Assistance Using Intellibeam in Your GMC or Buick Vehicle If your Buick or GMC vehicle comes equipped with Intellibeam, enabling this handy feature is a straightforward process. 1. Ensure that your vehicle's engine is running, and the headlamps are on. 2. Set the headlamp control knob to Auto or manually turn on the low beam headlamps. 3. Place the turn signal lever in the neutral position. 4. Depending on your specific vehicle model, you can activate Intellibeam using one of the following methods: Press a designated button on your turn signal lever. Push the turn signal lever forward and back to the neutral position. Use the infotainment system (select the Virtual Controls app, tap Lights, and turn Auto High Beams on). 5. When Intellibeam is successfully enabled, you will see a green "A" icon displayed in the instrument panel. A blue icon will appear in the instrument panel alongside the green "A" icon when Intellibeam activates the high beams. Learn More About Buick Technology Intellibeam will now automatically detect lighting conditions and other vehicles, turning the high beams on and off as needed! This feature is dependent on your vehicle's speed, as Intellibeam only activates high beams above 25 mph. Once your high beams are automatically activated, they will stay on until: The system detects an approaching vehicle's headlamps. The system detects another vehicle's taillamps in front of your vehicle. Exterior lighting becomes bright enough that high-beam headlamps are not required. Your vehicle's speed drops below 12 mph. The turn signal lever is moved forward to the high beam position or the Flash-to-Pass feature is used. Factors that May Interfere with Intellibeam While taking advantage of this convenient feature, you may encounter a few situations that prevent Intellibeam from working properly. Here are some conditions that could interfere with your vehicle’s high beam sensor: The other vehicle's lamps are missing, damaged, obstructed from view, or otherwise undetected. The other vehicle's lamps are covered with dirt, snow, or road spray. The other vehicle's lamps cannot be detected due to dense exhaust, smoke, fog, snow, road spray, mist, or other airborne obstructions. Your vehicle's windshield is dirty, cracked, or obstructed by something that blocks the view of the light sensor. Your vehicle is loaded in such a way that the front end points upward, causing the light sensor to aim high and not detect headlamps and taillamps. You are driving on winding or hilly roads. Intellibeam Automatic Headlamp Control is a remarkable safety feature that benefits your vehicle as well as other drivers. The ease of enabling and using Intellibeam makes it a valuable addition to the new vehicle selection at McLarty Daniel Buick GMC in Bentonville, Arkansas.
